Try the Varied Terrain of Arkansas Golf
From tough ups and downs in the Ozarks to links-style courses in the Arkansas delta, the Razorback State offers all sorts of challenging layouts and terrain for every level of golfer. Best known for producing golf’s “Grip It and Rip It” king, John Daly, Arkansas courses don’t immediately come to mind as top-notch golf destinations—but that is changing. In Jonesboro, the new Sage Meadows course is an 18-hole Tommy Bolt design with just the right mix of skill-testing holes and trouble-free fairways. The Glenwood Club has several attractive packages including a "Name Your Price" promotion during the Fall.

Hidden gems and novice-friendly tracks dot the entire state. Add in a vibrant turf grass industry and research program at the University of Arkansas, and the result is a variety of putting surfaces that will take your short game to new levels. Be sure to spend at least 30 minutes on the practice green prior to your tee time to get a handle on each course’s feel, and add some new favorites to your list of terrific tracks.
