Show Me Your Golf Game in the Show Me State of Missouri
With close to 400 golf courses dotting the Missouri landscape, your choices for golf in the state are overflowing. In St. Louis, the Hale Irwin-designed Quail Creek Golf Club is a Par-72 course that will challenge novice and veteran golfers alike. Rates, especially during the week, are quite reasonable and never top $40 - even with a cart. Over in Branson in the Ozarks Region, you will fall in love with the Branson Creek Golf Club, which has been acknowledged as Missouri's best public course in recent year. That distinction makes the golf a bit pricey (near $100 with a cart during peak months), but it's money well-spent. Always keep in mind that weather can change in a hurry on Missouri golf courses, making a golf outing less fun quickly.

If you get a quick rain shower – and you should always be sure there is no accompanying lightning – protect your grips. Put a towel over your golf bag to keep your clubs from getting wet and having drops trickle all the way down to your grips. Carry an extra glove in case you need to switch. You may also change to a stronger grip, which can cause shots to move to the left. If you find that happening, maintain the grip and aim a little to the right. When scheduling a Missouri tee time, always inquire about the expected weather conditions to ensure you are prepared when you arrive for your scheduled tee time.
